FUN FACTS
2006

A love of beer, food and science lead to the study of a BSC-Hons in Brewing and Distilling at Heriot-Watt University in Edinburgh. The course included a brewing placement at Carlsberg-Tetley’s utilising a particle analyser to count and size particles throughout the process & experience within a large multinational.

2008

A strong, lifelong relationship with the Institute of Brewing and Distilling began. He holds a Dipl.Brew from them & has attended many other courses and events. At Belhaven Brewery he gained brewing, technical, quality and laboratory experience.

A move to St Austell Brewery as Technical Brewer further develops brewing, management, quality and food safety skills as part of a highly successful brewing team with a diverse and highly respected beer range.

2014

Saw a change of direction into brewing supply at Murphy and Son in technical sales and support. Murphy and Son manufacture, supply and support brewing aids and treatments across the globe and offer a diverse and extensive range of brewing supplies in the UK.

2019

Was a significant change with a personal move to Germany and a professional move to cover European technical sales. Leading the European expansion, building strong partnerships & helping brewers to improve, reduce and save. Although passionate about German beers the move rekindles the love of home brewing to brew styles less common in Bavaria. Fortunately Mr Malt are there to help with supply! He therefore becomes both a supplier and a customer with Mr Malt.

2024

He starts a role with Caldic Brew & Mr Malt. The existing relationships & product knowledge should provide a strong foundation to build upon. He looks forward to -exploring Italian brewing and beer more deeply

CURIOSITIES
2016

After graduating from the Technical Agricultural Institute with a major in Oenology and some university experience in the same field, Christian took his first steps in the winemaking world as a technical sales representative. But it was among fermenters and craft brews that he began to glimpse the future: this is where the spark for beer was ignited.

2024

He joins the Mr. Malt team as a Sales Account, bringing years of experience, a sharp tongue, and an ever-growing passion for hops.

2025

He decides to take it seriously: begins the path to earn the Brewing and Distilling diploma in London.
Spoiler: his notebook is already stained with wort.

Special skills: wild hophead and malt taster.

  • Thanks to his family and a “flexible” supervision, he tasted his first beer at a very young age.
  • Tireless traveler with a soft spot for the States. His most memorable moments? They're inked on his skin, literally. Every tattoo tells a story: a place, a beer, an adventure.
  • He loves basketball, football, and team sports. Don’t be surprised if you find him active at 4 a.m.—he might be glued to the screen for an NBA final or an epic NFL showdown.
  • He lives with 3 cats: not just pets, but real brainstorming colleagues. And yes, they decide when it’s break time.
