Sichuan pepper features citrus, balsamic and floral notes alongside its characteristic pungent and slightly spicy profile. Very common spice in the East, especially in China, it is called "Flower pepper" because of its appearance, even if in reality there is no taxonomic relationship between the two spices.
Aromatic herbs are used to brew Belgian Bière Blanche, Grand Cru, Tripples and Christmas Beers. They are usually added in the last 15 minutes of boil. In ancient times herbs were used to extend beer's storage time.
