Ginger is the root af a herbaceous perennial in the family Zingiberaceae. It is fleshy and densely ramified, very aromatic with a camphorated smell. Odour: pungent, aromatic similar to lemon. Taste: refreshing, with a hint of lemon, pungent, warm.
Aromatic herbs are used to brew Belgian Bière Blanche, Grand Cru, Tripples and Christmas Beers. They are usually added in the last 15 minutes of boil. In ancient times herbs were used to extend beer's storage time.
